Arewà began with a single bottle of neroli, blended on a kitchen table in Lagos and given away in plain glass. It was never intended to be a brand — only a way of keeping something that felt true.

Enough people asked for it that the table became a small studio, and the studio became the House. We still work in small runs. Nothing is made until it is worth making.

Every fragrance is blended, rested and bottled by hand in batches of no more than two hundred. We rest each composition for six weeks before it is allowed near a box.

Candles are poured in stoneware made by a single studio. Soap is cured for eight weeks. We would rather make less and keep the standard than meet a number.

We work with natural absolutes and a small number of nature-identical materials where the natural is unsustainable or unstable. Nothing is tested on animals, and nothing contains phthalates or synthetic musk.

Oils are traced to their origin and bought in quantities we can account for. Where a harvest is poor, we wait rather than substitute.

If a piece arrives damaged, or is not what you expected, we will put it right. Write to us and a person will answer — not a form.

Glass, aluminium and paper are recyclable and we use them wherever we can. Outer cartons are unbleached and unprinted. Candle vessels are made to be kept and refilled.

We consolidate deliveries rather than ship part-orders, and we do not air-freight single units. It is slower. We think it is the right trade.
